Dear Manuel, I would just like to thank you for coming to our class as a guest speaker. It is such a rare opportunity for us to actually hear the language and learn the culture from somebody such as yourself, somebody who knows it first hand. Through your visits I feel like I would now be better prepared to communicate with a native speaker or visit Guatemala and actually be knowledgeable about it. I've learned things that I would never have known without you. I have been given an insider's look thanks to you and that's not something that you can get off the news or out of a textbook. I really hope that you continue to speak wherever you can because your visits are truly appreciated and they are an invaluable asset to anyone who has the opportunity to hear them.
