TPT Broadcast - The U.S.-U.K. Special Relationship: Tales from the Salt Mine, 1988-2002
February 23, 2003

MIC is proud to partner with Twin Cities Public Television Channel 17 to broadcast British Ambassador Christopher Meyer's lively October presentation on the U.S.-U.K. relationship. In his last public address in the Midwest before returning to the U.K., Ambassador Meyer shared his personal experiences from his time in Washington, D.C., and his perceptions of the future for the alliance.

During his 36 years in the Diplomatic Service, Ambassador Meyer has gained insight and perspectives on many significant issues facing our global community. He has served at the British Embassies in the Soviet Union, Spain, the United States and Germany (where he was ambassador), as well as in Brussels at the U.K. Representation to the European Communities. In London Ambassador Meyer's positions included head of the Soviet Section, spokesman for the Foreign Office and the Government, and press secretary to the Prime Minister.

  • Time: 8:00 p.m.
  • Place: TPT Channel 17

MIC regrets that you will be charged for cancellations made less than two full business days in advance of programs, or cancellations made after the registration deadline, if one is given.
