MIC, the Muslim Student Association and Al-Madinah Cultural Center at the University of Minnesota invite you to hear Dr. John Esposito, director of Georgetown University's Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, on Tuesday, April 8, for Islam Awareness Week. He will address issues surrounding Islam, Muslim extremism and what Islam really teaches about terrorism.
Dr. Esposito's speciality is political Islam and the impact of Islamic movements from North Africa to Southeast Asia. He is editor-in-chief of the four-volume Oxford Encyclopedia of the Modern Islamic World and The Oxford History of Islam. His more than 25 books include What Everyone Should Know About Islam: Questions and Answers; Unholy War: Terror in the Name of Islam and The Islamic Threat: Myth or Reality?
