Gender and the Media

The Association for India’s Development at the University of Minnesota will host Ms. Ammu Joseph, visiting professor at the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai/Madras, India, for a discussion on gender and the media. She will address the relationship between the women’s movement and the media over the years and their influence on each other. Ms. Joseph is author of Terror, Counter Terror: Women Speak Out and Women in Journalism: Making News, among others.
