World Voices: Peace on Earth
Saturday, December 13, 2003

Lifting up the hope for peace and touching children’s lives through music is the inspiration for this special performance. World Voices, conducted by Dr. Karle Erickson, brings together 320 children from six choirs to join the Chorale. Individual and combined choirs will present music representative of a variety of cultures, some of which will be sung in native languages. Two movements of David Fanshawe’s “African Sanctus” with pre-recorded African tribal music and Glenn McClure’s “Canticle of Brother Sun” written for choir, steel drums and percussion will be featured by World Voices with Sowah Mensah, Master Drummer from Ghana, on percussion.
