Hear Edward J. Lord, an expert in innovative crisis management with more than 30 years experience in coordinating medical responses to incidents that require interface and knowledge of the National Federal Response Plan, speak about planning for a global pandemic. As President of his own consulting firm, Mr. Lord provides emergency management consultation and develops and facilitates simulation exercises to prepare for terrorism and natural disasters for clients in the private and public sectors.
Following Hurricane Katrina, he was designated as the Site Director for the American Red Crosss first permanent shelter, located in Monroe, Louisiana. This shelter accommodated 3,000 evacuees and served as national model for future permanent shelters.
Mr. Lord is an active speaker in MICs Great Decisions program.
