Foreign Policy Issues in 2022: Apparent Challenges, Underlying Trends
Wednesday, February 22, 2022

Tom Hanson, program secretary of the St. Paul-Minneapolis Committee on Foreign Relations and a frequent MIC foreign policy presenter, will lead a discussion about key U.S. foreign policy issues for the year ahead, exploring underlying issues which are not well-publicized as well as overt challenges. Mr. Hanson will draw upon his experience as a former U.S. Foreign Service Officer with postings in France, Norway, Sweden, Europe and the former Soviet Union, East Germany, Georgia and Estonia.

He has spoken to many Great Decisions groups throughout Minnesota on the subject of foreign policy development, and is a consultant to the Great Decisions program. A recent attendee commented, “an informative program giving us much needed information regarding things that our media does not cover. A great presentation.”

Leaders and participants in MIC’s Great Decisions groups are especially encouraged to attend.
